I made a quick trip to Denver this past weekend to see Kim and attend her friend's wedding. I had a great time. The wedding was held in a beautiful church downtown.

The reception was located at the famous Brown Palace Hotel, a place that has hosted presidents and royalty. After the reception, Kim and I walked back to her downtown loft. Along the way I snapped a nighttime shot of one of my favorite Denver buildings, Union Station.

In no particular order, my four favorite cities on earth are Florence, Prague, San Francisco, and Boulder. On Sunday, Kim and I went to the closest. I absolutely love Boulder. It' s a powerful narcotic for me. Regardless of the state of my life, being on Pearl Street instantly calms me like no other force on earth.

I have an oddly shaped head. While there are many associated drawbacks, the worst is that I can find neither glasses nor a hat that look good on me. However, along our Pearl Street stroll, I managed to find a CU hat that fits me perfectly. I look quite dashing. After perusing Pearl Street Mall (and spending way too much money at the Boulder Book Store), we drove up to NCAR, located at the foot of the Flatirons (if you look very closely, you'll see a deer standing between the trees).

From this hilltop vantage point, we had great views of the Flatirons and the city.

As I've mentioned before, I have one general rule when flying that I want other passengers to follow. I don't want to know they exist. Unfortunately, the person sitting next to me on the flight home didn't receive my newsletter because he decided to throw some chew in his mouth and use an empty 20 ounce Coke bottle as a spittoon. I felt like I was in the front row of a Gallagher show.
