Art School: If Lincoln Was A College Professor.
In honor of President's Day, our portrait model was a Lincoln impersonator, who had the day before, spent the afternoon with the other Mount Rushmore presidents at the Nixon Library. I ran out of time towards the end and changed his fancy suit into a sweater, which made him look more like a college professor. This was painted from a live model in a little over 2 hours. Many thanks to my instructor, Lucas Graciano, for his help.

Art School: Tamara, Portrait Painting.
I'm half-way through the winter term at Watts Atelier and feel like I'm finally starting to get my feet underneath me. I've posted a lot of sketchbook work of Tamara based on a photoshoot we had.... here she is posing in the portrait painting class. This was painted in a little over two hours. Many thanks to my instructor, Lucas Graciano, for his help.
