Number Nine Jewelry.
My lovely and very talented wife, Juliana, has beautiful, handcrafted jewelry for sale on her website, and through Maisonnette (a fantastic shop that also sells my block prints and a few oil paintings). Her jewelry makes a perfect and unique gift.
She also has a blog, Number 9 Jewelry, that talks about many things, including the process (a topic that I always find fascinating and not discussed nearly enough in art).
Check 'em out.

Art School: Works From Current Term.
I'm taking a "Head/Figure/Quicksketch" class at Watts this term, taught by the incredibly talented and helpful, Lucas Graciano. Here is some of my work thus far (all done with charcoal on newsprint):
Mike. Drawn in a little under 2 hours.
Angel. ~2 hours.
Tamara. 20 minute figure lay-in.

Sketchbook: It's Possible I Like This Triceratops Skull.
But None Could Match The Beauty Of His Own Hand*
(* Seinfeld reference)
When armed with a sketchbook and confined to a space, the dire search for subject matter often leaves me with my default subject. My right hand. Wait, that doesn't sound quite right. Hmmm. Let me show you pictures. Damn. Not much better. Onwards....
All drawings were done in a 5x8" Moleskine sketchbook.
Jury lounge this past Thursday. Pencil.
Restaurant waiting for lunch. Pen.
Pen.
Sitting on the concrete boardwalk wall, feeling introspective. Pen and Ink.
Airplane. Pencil.
Airplane. Pen.
As an aside, the latest Cold War Kids album is fantastic. I've been listening to it and Broken Social Scene's latest, Forgiveness Rock Record, on a loop.
